Peaches are now, apples ripen in early September.
Kingsbury's Orchard is open for the season. This 5th generation orchard is famous for peaches - including one of their own cultivars- Kingsbury's Pride. Lewis Orchard is also open just up both are on Peachtree Road. Pick-your-own opportunities also abound at Butler's Orchard and Homestead Farm. The cider is cold at Doc Water's Cidery, part of Water's Orchard which will open for pick your own apples in September.

If you want to secure a whole season of produce an support your farmer even more- consider signing up for a CSA share (Community Supported Agriculture). By the time August comes round, you will have already eaten your way through spring strawberries and greens and be gorging yourself on tomatoes, looking forward to the sweet potatoes and more to come.
