Ride for the Reserve Stops

We did a zoom route reveal which you can find here.

See the presentation here on stops/safety (pdf) for which stop is on which route.

Links for featured farms here:
  • Locals Farm Market - (Locals has a cold drink for our riders - stop by after your ride and let them know you are doing the ride to claim your lemonade or iced tea
  • Poolesville Farmers Market
  • Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard
  • Rocklands Farm Winery
  • Savage Farm Market
  • Homestead Farm
  • Lewis Orchard
  • Kingsbury's Orchard

The wineries tend to have food trucks on the weekends and often live music. While this is great - it does make riding near them more difficult with increased traffic. You'd do best to avoid the Sugarloaf area (Comus Rd) starting at noon on weekends. Please double check social media or call to be sure the farm you are looking to visit is open and if you have your heart set on a certain kind of produce check to be sure it is still available. The Ride for GPS Link will also show you bathroom opportunities on routes.

It Bears Repeating - Please Do Not Drink and Bike

MCA is proud to announce that we have been recognized for a third time as one of the best small charities in the D.C. region by Catalogue for Philanthropy: Greater Washington. A panel of 110 expert reviewers from area foundations, corporate giving programs, and peer non-profit organizations evaluated 270 applications.

MCA is known as an effective and innovative non-profit whose efforts to preserve and promote Montgomery County’s nationally recognized 93,000 acre Ag Reserve have brought increased public and governmental support of local food production and farmland and open space preservation. Most importantly, MCA’s efforts are putting more farmers on the ground and keeping them there.
