Picnic Options for the Ride for the Reserve

Thanks for signing up for the Ride for the Reserve. The ride ends at the gourmet picnic at Linden Farm (11-3pm so you can ride at your own pace). As in the past we are partnering with Panera for sandwich boxes and with Locals Farm Market for sumptuous and hearty salads and of course Kingsbury Orchard for the best ever cider.

We are detailing below the ingredients in the Panera boxes to be mindful of those with food sensitivities. Those signing up for the ride will have the opportunity to pick their box when they sign up for the ride - saving time.
The salads from Locals are GF and Vegan so we will have you covered. More questions not addressed here? Reach out - Kristina@mocoalliance.org
We will be offering the following sandwich boxes(each box comes with the sandwich, potato chips and a chocolate chip cookie.) Click on each sandwich here to see a full ingredients list (so sorry, we are unable to make substitutions)
-Mediterranean Veggie
-Deli Turkey
-Bacon Turkey Bravo
-Napa Almond Chicken Salad
For your planning - this year with the pop-up market happening after the ride we can confirm Mr. Softee - the Ice Cream Truck  is coming back and we will add other food trucks as well that will start serving at Noon. These are part of the market and as a result will be available for purchase by members of the public and riders.

If you have friends and family that are still on the fence about the ride - perhaps they are waiting to see the gorgeous fall weather we have ordered up for that day-  riders and "just picnic" folks that register after regular registration closes (Wednesday the 23rd at Midnight) can still sign up for the ride but they will pay a higher ticket fee and not get the included picnic but can surely buy some food truck items and join you at the picnic.

MCA is proud to announce that we have been recognized for a third time as one of the best small charities in the D.C. region by Catalogue for Philanthropy: Greater Washington. A panel of 110 expert reviewers from area foundations, corporate giving programs, and peer non-profit organizations evaluated 270 applications.

MCA is known as an effective and innovative non-profit whose efforts to preserve and promote Montgomery County’s nationally recognized 93,000 acre Ag Reserve have brought increased public and governmental support of local food production and farmland and open space preservation. Most importantly, MCA’s efforts are putting more farmers on the ground and keeping them there.
